Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Another year has (almost) come and gone. This is the time of year that we usually reflect on the year that was and focus on the new year to come. No, I’m not going to do that here as I will leave that for the news shows. We each lived this year differently and uniquely and therefore, who am I to speak for every individual person? You know what you did!!
Now, as far as the Big Trivia Show is concerned, this has truly been a great year! It was not void of adversity at times, but all came out just fine. I do want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of the five Big Trivia Show venues for their continued support as we move into 2009 bigger and better than ever! Here they are...

Now, I’m not one for picking one BTS Team of the Year as that would also be silly in my view. Each show is unique and different and that’s the way I like it! However, I will choose one team per venue that, in my view, showed exemplary dedication, as well as, gamesmanship throughout the year. Some will feel slighted but that is unavoidable. For this, I am sorry.
So, without further rambling, here are the 2008 BTS Teams of the Year.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Well, here it is, Christmas week already! I guess the only question I have for you this week is...How's the shopping going? Is it..
A) Frustrating
B) Flustering
C) Annoying
Now, I realize in a perfect world, the holidays are a time to reflect and relax with the ones you love. However, this is not a perfect world now is it? Its rush, rush, rush! Gotta put up the tree, the lights, gotta send out the cards and the dreaded Christmas letter!! AHHH! It can be maddening.
As I have gotten older, I like to think I have grown wiser as well. So, with that said, I refuse to let this time of year stress me out! I have made a conserted effort to focus on making this time of year special for my daughter. She is only 5 and does not need to see Mommy and Daddy flipping out over anything. After all, Santa is coming and that means Daddy has to make sure the cookies are made for Sir Claus, the carrots are out for the reindeer, the driveway is cleared so santa can park, and of course, I have to remember to keep the front door unlocked so Santa can break into my house and hook us up! Now if that's not what it's all about, I don't know what is!
Normally, it would be time for our BTS Team of the Week, however, its the holidays and it wouldn't be right to award it to just one team now would it?
Therefore.....Congrats to our BTS Team of the Week..Santa and His Reindeer!

(Kiddie) Party Animal!
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Sorry this entry is a late one but man...what a weekend! I am truly the Kid Party King!! I'm sure I'm not alone as I know many of you have or had little ones so you know what the World Kid Party Tour is all about! It started Saturday morning at CVS as the search for the perfect gift under $10. Of course, this requires the help of your own child as you ask the question...
"What does little Susie or Johnny like?" This is usually followed by "What do you mean you don't know" or "Daddy thinks he might get this for you for Christmas, so lets get Susie or Johnny a nice container of Hanna Montana Rubber Bands". Translation....Daddy don't know crap about Susie or Johnny and sure as He#@ ain't spending $25 on a talking Dora the Explorer doll for them. No offense, but that's what their daddy is for.
Next, it was party time with a stop at IPEX in Altamonte Springs for some cake and awkward talk with people you don't know. Thank God my wife was there with me to soften the blow. Women truly have an impressive ability to BS with another mom and dad for as long as it takes. This is a skill I am and will always be impressed with, and one I do not posess.
Sunday, it was our turn to throw a bash for my own little princess and AT LEAST 30 OTHER CRUMB SNATCHERS AND THEIR FOLKS! Man, some celebrity weddings don't have this large of a guest list! So, my wife and I provided the pizza, cake, and the good folks at Turning Pointe Dance Studio provided the venue for this legendary event. I figured 10 large pizzas would be enough for kids and parents . I was JUST right. Not a crumb to spare. My wife figured a large Carvel Ice Cream cake would be enough for this A-List affair. It was JUST enough as well. We were tapped out of cash and ready to end this thing after an hour or so. Two hours later, the party was still rocking! Man, maybe I should be a party planner!! Who knew a mixture of Dominos, Carvel, and Tropical Capri Sun would keep such an audience!! A small price to pay for our daughters happiness. Don't be fooled however, she made out like a bandit! I have never seen so many $10 toys! Hanna this, Polly Pocket that. CVS represented HUGE!! Some were even a couple of notches above your Child Party Default Gift. To my daughters credit, we set some gifts aside to donate to Toys for Tots. We are trying to instill in her just how lucky we are, etc and she is willing to sacrifice some of her good fortune to those who have no fortune at all. For this, I am truly impressed with her unselfishness, unspeakably proud, and makes all of this worth the effort!
Happy Birthday Elaina!! You truly humble your daddy and make my life complete.
As for next year, we will be having a small gathering. How's Taco Bell sound??
Now its time for our BTS Team of the Week. This week's decision was not a hard one to make. This team was been running roughshot over the competition at Gators Dockside lately. So much so, even their team name reaks of success. It kinda sums it all up.

More like Black "Fright-Day"
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Let me start by saying I truly hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was grat as always. We had about 35 family members, 3 turkeys, a Ham, and a butt load of side dishes. Everyone brought something so we were not anywhere close to being short on food and fun.
I made sure I got my fill becuase I knew there was something I had to do Friday morning that I had never done before. I had to get myself out of bed around 5AM to make sure I was one of the first to get my hands on a Hot Wheels Barbie Jammin Jeep down at Walmart for my baby girl on behalf of Santa Claus (wink wink). They only had a few so I knew it would be a challenge.
I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS IN FOR!!!!!!!!! I was there by 5:03am and was already S.O.L.
I walked around the store surround by hundreds of desperate souls much like myself. TV's, Clothes, Toys....shoot, you name it, it was on special and in short supply!
So, after wandering around awhile, I realized my quest was futile. I got the hell out of there quicker than you could say "Black Friday". I was home by 5:45 and back to bed by 5:50. Never before and never again!!! (Besides, there's always Cyber Monday right????:)
Now its time for our BTS Team of the Week. Once again, its never easy to choose just one team as their is no clear cut winner this week. That is why I have chosen to not focus on the "scores" as much as another important element, bringing new people with you.
I always enjoy seeing new faces with teams that have played previously. That tells me all I need to know about the show I perform every week. "Its alot of fun and I think so and so would like this as well." Either that or "Hey so and so? I need you to come to trivia with me so I can get extra points on my quiz and god knows you owe me!!"
Either way...I appreciate it! Our winner this week constantly brings new folks into the fold and those new folks have even brought new folks of their own. That's alot of folks!
Futhermore, being that this week was Thanksgiving, I thought it fitting that they brought 7 new people to the show. That's a Thanksgiving dining room full isn't it?

Feeling Thankful
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Another great week for the BIG Trivia Show is in the books and I have YOU to thank! It is about feeling thankful this week and that should be the focus. It was a year ago the month that I was doing something completely different than trivia. For eight years, I was a loyal employee of Clear Channel radio as a producer and on-air "talent". Well, the economy spares no one from its wrath and I was a casuality of the dreaded budget cut. Thankfully, I made a good friend while in radio. Every week, Curtis Earth would come in on Friday's and do a round of trivia for the listeners. We struck up a friendship and his phone call was one of the first made after the "Layoff". I was an admirer of what Curtis had built over the past 15 or so years and felt that it was something I would be good at. Plus, it was a job and I needed one badly. So, since December '07 this has been my professional life and it has been a blast! I am often asked if I miss my old radio life. My honest answer is NO! This is more personal, more rewarding. I look forward to each and every show because I get to see and have fun with my friends. How many jobs can offer that? It is for this, for you, I am thankful. I know the economy has been tough on all of us. Everyone has felt its effects and I know my story is one of many. I just hope for a couple hours a week, I can help take your mind off of it for a little while. This is my reward.
Now its time for our BTS Team of the Week. This team has many different variations but they always represent. Sometimes they are only two, other times they expand to four or five. They welcome new members and share the winnings with all. Plus, they play every day at Copper Rocket, not just once or twice a week! They are addicted, but this is an addiction we can all appreciate! When Trees Attack!!
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Have you ever had something entirely planned and ready to go then....BOOM........a tree falls in your yard? Maybe you have. Well, that's what happened to your's truly this week. As usual, I was reflecting on the week that was and finalizing a Phraze That Payz during Friday's rainy night when Ratatattat bing bang boom......my neighbors tree came crashing down like McCain's presidential hopes. Startled, I sat back and thanked my stars it did not hit my back porch where I was sitting at the time of the attack. Composed, I went out and assesed the damage. I am happy to report damage minimal, however, it was now up to me to cut this sucker into pieces and remove it from my yard. For this job, I would need a chainsaw, string to tie the branches, and most importantly...the "want to" to get this now essential job done. So...TO 7-11 I WENT!! For this was not just any regular 6 pack job..no sir. This job was what I like to call a Case Study.
Well, it is Sunday and many beers later, I am happy to report the job is 95% done and should be completed today (I stress should be). The best part is....its not my fence! That will be my neighbors responsibility. As you can tell...we are not close:)
Enough about me, let's get to the week that was. Before the tree decided to come over for a late night visit, I was trying to decide who should be this week's BTS Team of the Week. It is now decision time and I am still not 100%. Here's my dilemma, I have no less than 3 teams that are worthy of this week's honor. Here are this week's candidates......
At Rivals "Do We Need A Team Name"?. These guys are true blue loyal players of the BTS and have never achieved the TOTW honor.
At Smokey Bones..The Pink Panthers and the All Proceeds Benefit team(s). One of these teams have received the honor while the other has not as of yet. Both played well this week and are worthy. Plus, The Pink Panthers brought me a cupcake! Sweets are my kryptonite..
At Gators, my old friends STFU and the Overy Punchers (Anchorman Reference, not way of life) are more than worthy. Plus, the Punchers actually asked to be the team this week. They and others realize what an honor it is (hehe).
Finally, at Coasters, HOF inductees the Chameleons (under the names Four Play and Hoover Dammit) had their finest outing to date. They won both games going away with scores of 80 and 78.
So as you can see, my decision will not be an easy one. Should I pull an Obama and spread the wealth around? Or, should I just pick one and feel good about my unwishywashyness?
Well, God knows i'm not much for the "socialistic" view of things so I shall pick just one and stick with it.

I can't let a combined score of 158 go unrewarded after praising a team last week for setting an all time mark of 80. The Chameleons did that and then some. After all, when it comes down to it, its still about results and loyality.

Historical Week for the Country...and the Big Trivia Show!
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
I want to start off this entry with a special note of thanks to Curtis Earth for filling in for me at Rivals and Copper Rocket this week as I took an extended weekend up to our nation's capital. I was one of the 40,000 other Steeler fans to rock Fed Ex Field and cheer my favorite team on to a resounding victory over the host Redskins much to my wife's dismay. You see, we are in a "mixed marriage". I am a Steeler die hard, while she is a Redskins die hard.
Trust me, after the game, the only one that "died hard" was me!
Thanks Curtis!! Great job as always!!
What a week huh? History was made this week as "We The People" elected our very first African American President. For that, we should be proud that another barrier has been broken. However, now its time to focus on what our country needs. From this point forward, the race of our president becomes secondary. Its his policies that should become the focus, just like every other president before him.
Congrats to President Elect Obama! Now don't let us down!!
Remember, the content of your character is even more signifigant than the color of your skin.
It wasn't just the election that made history this week. A Big Trivia first was also accomplished this week. As loyal players of the BTS can attest, achieving a perfect score in Round 3 is not impossible, but its pretty doggone hard to do. Others have accomplished it, but much like a Blue Moon, it doesn't happen very often. When it does, it should be recognized.
As Paul Harvey would say, "and now....the rest of the story". On Thursday nights at Coasters, we have a three point extra credit question in our game called the "Big Think". This question is not impossible to answer, but the chances of achieving the right answer is are slim. I give each team an ample amount of time to answer this question as it is submitted towards the end of Round 2 with an answer due by the end of Round 3. The question was.....What does the Average American change every 13 years? As you can see, not an easy question.
Well, much to my surpise, not only did this week's BTS Team of the Week answer the Big Think (Careers is the answer), but also managed to answer every question in Round 3 correctly! This, along with the Phraze That Payz, earned this team an overall score of 80! To my knowledge, this is the highest score ever acheived in the history of the BTS!
This team of bright minds is one of the two enshrined in the BTS Hall of Fame. Now you see why.

I want to start off this entry with a special note of thanks to Curtis Earth for filling in for me at Rivals and Copper Rocket this week as I took an extended weekend up to our nation's capital. I was one of the 40,000 other Steeler fans to rock Fed Ex Field and cheer my favorite team on to a resounding victory over the host Redskins much to my wife's dismay. You see, we are in a "mixed marriage". I am a Steeler die hard, while she is a Redskins die hard.
Trust me, after the game, the only one that "died hard" was me!
Thanks Curtis!! Great job as always!!
What a week huh? History was made this week as "We The People" elected our very first African American President. For that, we should be proud that another barrier has been broken. However, now its time to focus on what our country needs. From this point forward, the race of our president becomes secondary. Its his policies that should become the focus, just like every other president before him.
Congrats to President Elect Obama! Now don't let us down!!
Remember, the content of your character is even more signifigant than the color of your skin.
It wasn't just the election that made history this week. A Big Trivia first was also accomplished this week. As loyal players of the BTS can attest, achieving a perfect score in Round 3 is not impossible, but its pretty doggone hard to do. Others have accomplished it, but much like a Blue Moon, it doesn't happen very often. When it does, it should be recognized.
As Paul Harvey would say, "and now....the rest of the story". On Thursday nights at Coasters, we have a three point extra credit question in our game called the "Big Think". This question is not impossible to answer, but the chances of achieving the right answer is are slim. I give each team an ample amount of time to answer this question as it is submitted towards the end of Round 2 with an answer due by the end of Round 3. The question was.....What does the Average American change every 13 years? As you can see, not an easy question.
Well, much to my surpise, not only did this week's BTS Team of the Week answer the Big Think (Careers is the answer), but also managed to answer every question in Round 3 correctly! This, along with the Phraze That Payz, earned this team an overall score of 80! To my knowledge, this is the highest score ever acheived in the history of the BTS!
This team of bright minds is one of the two enshrined in the BTS Hall of Fame. Now you see why.

Finally its (almost) over!!!!!!!
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
And down the stretch they come!!! By the time I update this blog next, we will have a new president and a new path for the country for the next four years.
May the best man win (btw, I am aware their are female presidential candidates on the ballot but....I digress).
Regardless, it is important to get your two cents in and vote!! I know the lines are long but I feeel it is worth the wait. I voted Wednesday, waited about an hour (not bad), and cast my opinion on how the next four years should go in this country. With that said...GO NADER!!!
(I kid I kid).
It was another great week for the BTS! I hope all had fun and will continue to come and compete for trivia victory glory!!
Like i said last week, I am always looking for ways to keep the show fresh therefore I decided to add a "Who Dat?" question to each round. I have also decided to mix and match the music that is played during the game. I posted a poll on both subjects and will continue to check it throughout the week and see how it goes. Much like the presidential election, it is too early to call so for those who voted..thanks!! For those who have not, cast your vote! The popular vote actually wins out here!!
As for this week's Big Trivia Show Team of the Week, I went with the flow and decided to make a "political decision". This week's recipiant(s) came in to Coasters a couple of weeks ago and played a heck of a game, finishing 3rd in our second game. However, the reason I am mentioning these guys is because of the impression they left on me while they were there. They we're all UCF students. We had a couple of future lawyers, poly sci's, and one member is studying to be a doctor. As impressive as that is, they were also split down the middle on who should be the next president of the United States. These guys were not shy on their opinions and each of their arguements were well presented and extremely eloquent and convincing for both sides.
Its people like this that excite me about our political system. Its good we don't agree on every single thing and that we have the right to have our opinions. There was only logic being discussed, not rumor or heresay. They all had their reasons and were well informed, much like each of you. They made me feel pretty good about the next generation who will fill the workforce over the next, well, four years.
It gives me great pleasure to announce that this weeks BTS Team of the Week is The Pathological Lawyers (pictured).

Happy Halloween Biggies!
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Time seems to be just flying by doesn't it? Halloween is upon us, the Presidential election will FINALLY be over soon, and before we know it, it'll be Thanksgiving. Like I said last week, this is my favorite time of year and judging by the poll I posted, it is for some of you as well. There is a chill in the air, that's for sure!
Things are rolling right along for the BTS and word is spreading! I know the economy is bad all around but Trivia seems to be a nice way to get away from it all. Our crowds have been steady and have not tapered off. For this, we are fortunate, thankful, and happy to be of service!
I am always looking for ways to keep the show fresh therefore I decided to add a "Who Dat?" question to each round. I have also decided to mix and match the music that is played during the game.
I will continue to tweak and try and remain open to new wrinkles and additions so PLEASE let me know if there is something you would like to see added and we'll give it a try!

As for this week's Big Trivia Show Team of the Week, it was not a hard choice. This week's recipiant(s) discovered the show at Rivals on Monday nights and have been present at Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill since we added them on Tuesday nights. They are a fun group but take their trivia seriously!! (That's a good thing by the way.)
I appeciate them for their loyality, effort, and dedication to the cause. They always have their Phraze That Payz, bring new people, and their bright smiling faces! Like so many others, they often use different names during game play but the faces are the same. You might recognize them as "Not Sure", "Better Half" or "Hamburger Phone" just to name three. Time seems to be just flying by doesn't it? Halloween is upon us, the Presidential election will FINALLY be over soon, and before we know it, it'll be Thanksgiving. Like I said last week, this is my favorite time of year and judging by the poll I posted, it is for some of you as well. There is a chill in the air, that's for sure!
Things are rolling right along for the BTS and word is spreading! I know the economy is bad all around but Trivia seems to be a nice way to get away from it all. Our crowds have been steady and have not tapered off. For this, we are fortunate, thankful, and happy to be of service!
I am always looking for ways to keep the show fresh therefore I decided to add a "Who Dat?" question to each round. I have also decided to mix and match the music that is played during the game.
I will continue to tweak and try and remain open to new wrinkles and additions so PLEASE let me know if there is something you would like to see added and we'll give it a try!

As for this week's Big Trivia Show Team of the Week, it was not a hard choice. This week's recipiant(s) discovered the show at Rivals on Monday nights and have been present at Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill since we added them on Tuesday nights. They are a fun group but take their trivia seriously!! (That's a good thing by the way.)
I appeciate them for their loyality, effort, and dedication to the cause. They always have their Phraze That Payz, bring new people, and their bright smiling faces! Like so many others, they often use different names during game play but the faces are the same. You might recognize them as "Not Sure", "Better Half" or "Hamburger Phone" just to name three. However, in presentation of this award, I shall refer to them by the name I came to know them by.

You know its Fall when......
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
So, we start off this week's entry with a question...When do you know its Fall?
Obviously, the calandar gives us a pretty clear indication even if the weather may not always, but for me, Fall has come when.......
The World Series gets underway
The NFL starts to get interesting
The NBA preseason has begun
Halloween costumes and party plans are made
The temperature dips below 70 at night
Fall Festivals are in full swing
Even the mention of Thanksgiving is a pretty good indicator
Most of all.....I bought my first Christmas present for a family member this weekend.
That, for me, is when not only Fall is here, but Winter is knocking on the door as well. Now, I will NOT be putting my Christmas decorations up just yet, but I know the 90 degree days are gone (until at least March...please??), and the really fun time of year is upon us. Food, Gifts, Parties, Fall Festivals, you name it, its here! I don't know about you, but I love this time of year the most!
Alright, I am done over-sharing with you. Let's get to the good stuff!!!
I really admire those of you who not only show up week after week, but spread the good word of the Big Trivia Show to your friends and aquaintances. That is cool for many reasons. Not only do more people come and have fun, but then they tell people and the competition gets even better!

Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
What a week huh? The Dow continues its yo yo tendencies, McCain and Obama continue to sling mud, and the federally financed left leaning group ACORN is in the news for trying to sign up homeless people to vote.....NUMEROUS TIMES.
That's ballzie...stupid...but ballzie.
Well, at least you have the BIG Trivia Show to take your mind off of such things right?
I want to start this weeks ramblings by giving a special thank you to those teams who come to more than one show. I realize most cannot due to schedules and life in general. Trust me, I get that!
However, for those who have been able to come to multiple shows, I want to say it really has meant a great deal to me. More so, it shows our host venues just how much fun this game is to so many. It confirms to them that they have made a wise decision not just on bringing me in, but that it is you that truly make the BIG Trivia Show fun!! Trust me, your enthusiasm makes others excited too. In turn, they come back week after week and it benefits everyone.

Bail granted...and denied!
Welcome New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Another week by the boards. Not a boring one, that's for sure! We saw the government "rescue" big business, We say a VP debate that was one of the highest rated debates ever, I repeat...one of the highest rated debates ever!! Nothing "mavericky" about that!! and OJ Simpson going to jail for potentially a long time for trying to steal back his own stuff! You knew they'd get him somehow.
On the homefront, we had another week of great shows including one at our newest venue Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill at Waterford Lakes. What a great venue! Thanks to Lindsey, Jake, Heather, Maria, and all the great servers and staff. Just wait until we really get it rolling! Should be a site to see!

This weeks BIG Trivia Show's BIG Team of the Week goes to a dedicated bunch of Red Sox fans. Not only do they love their baseball, but also for their trivia! Need proof? These guys not only represented huge on Thursday at Coasters (where they normally play), but also came to play at Smokey Bones.....and won there too!!!! Much like Boston going on the road and punking the Angels, these guys will play anyone....and win anywhere!!

Just got back from Pennsylvania and I am bushed but happy to be home!!
We'll get back at it tomorrow with Happy Hour at Copper Rocket and TWO fun games of trivia at Paddy Murphy's beginning at 8pm. I hope to see you all out there. It'll be a blast as always!

New Contest idea/Going on a Trip
Hello Biggies (old and new)!
As we reflect on another succesful week, I have decided to institute a new contest for the "Phraze That Payz" and the Word of the day. I like both concepts very much as it only rewards the loyal, dedicated players of the Big Trivia Show. However, as this show expands to include a daily Happy Hour crowd, I realized that one phraze per week is not sufficient. So therefore, I have come up with this new and exciting challenge.....
A 5 Word Phraze That Payz! (JUMBLE STYLE!!!!!)
As Styx once said......I have too much (clap clap) time on my hands!
Here's how it will work.
I will come up with a 5 word sentence or "phraze" at the beginning of each week with the 5 signifying the 5 days of the week that you can catch me live.
I will jumble each individual word with the first word being the one you descramble and use on Monday. The second you would descramble and use on Tuesday, etc.
As Don Henley said........Are you with me so far?
So, this week's Five Word Phraze That Payz (Jumble Style) Theme is "Taking a trip". I am leaving next Friday for a weekend in Pennsylvania to see my family. I will return Monday afternoon refreshed and full of vigor.
These Five words make up a sentence having to do with taking a trip. You must descramble the words one at a time and write each individual word on the corresponding day.

Coasters Sports Pub inside Boarwalk Bowl saw "I Peed in ur Pool" winning Game 1 by two points over "You Bitch, You Slut, You Whore". Yeah, it was fun!! Game Two went to "Supa Dupa Fupa" by two points over "Team Ramrod" in an excelerating contest!
I gotta ask....where are all of my (former) Bennigan's teams??? Disco Werewolves? Binary Ninjas? Smart Asses? and the rest??? We miss you and hope to see your smiling faces sometime soon!! Otherwise, The Pool Pe'ers will continue to never have to pay for one single drink! You're missing out!!

Finally, I've gotta give props to my ever growing but very loyal Copper Rocket crowd. Big thanks to "Beer Nads", "Partly Cloudy", and of course..."I Like Beer"! You guys make it happen and I want you to know I appreciate it! I also want to welcome "I Need a Beer" to the mix at Copper Rocket! I'm there Mon, Tue, Thur, and Fri from 530-7p for the "Happiest of Hours" so if you've been thinking of checking it out, this week is the week!
I want to let you know that my best friend Cornell will be filling in for me at Copper's on Friday and Monday so (don't) take it easy on him! He'll be ready!! Thanks Cornell, you are a true friend!

Great Week/Bad Laptop...Bad!!
Hello Biggies!
Thanks for another great week of trivia!
We welcomed Copper Rocket to the fold on Monday for Happy Hour. It is a terrific venue and will only continue to grow. Just have to get that construction finished! Thanks to the management and staff for their support! Here's to continued success!!
Paddy Murphys and Coasters were rockin as well! These are two outstanding and supportive venues that love what we do and appreciate the fact YOU are there! It is and will continue to be a pleasure to do what I do for You as well as for them!! It is nice to have the support and appreciation from the staff and management! The best news is...It will only get better!
Congrats to this week's winners. At Paddy Murphys, it was "Beer" taking 1st place in Game One and the "Poly-esters" taking Game Two! Congrats to both teams and good luck next week!

The place is impressive to say the least and we actually used one of our new tie-break methods to determine the winner of Game Two. I look so forward to Thursday nights and I hope to see you all there this coming week! Its a blast!

This is the first blog I have ever composed from my home computer. Up until February, I never had a laptop but I finally broke down and got one. Man, what a concept...a mobile computer!! How did I ever live without one?
Well, I am realizing how much not having one sucks!! It has succomb to an injury and must be put on the disabled list. It is not a software problem so I am hopeful it can be repaired relatively quickly. In the meantime, I will revert back to early 2008 and get back in touch with ole' "Homey" here. I realize things could be alot worse but doing the radio show and other business type things are alot easier on the go.
Anyway, This week's PHRAZE THAT PAYZ is "BROKEN LAPTOP". Write this Phraze on your answer sheet at one of my night time shows and receive 3 extra points on your quiz!

Hello Biggies!
What an awesome debut at Coasters Sports Pub we had Thursday night!! What a venue huh? It was made to host trivia wouldn't you agree?
Special thanks to all the loyal Biggies that made the trip and huge thanks to the management and crew that made me and all of you feel so welcome. Thanks to Keith, George, Dominic, and our smarty bartender Crystal! I am looking forward to a long lasting relationship with Coasters! You guys are awesome! Plus, I think I found a new way to break ties. For those who were there, you know what I'm talking about but for those who couldn't make it, you'll have to come next week to see what I mean. Trust me, it'll be fun!!!
This Monday begins a new Big Trivia Show chapter as well. We officially say hello to Copper Rocket in Winter Park for some Happy Hour Trivia. The show begins at 5:30 and goes until 7. Come on down and check out the Copper Rocket. They have done alot of refurbishing and it looks great!! Should be alot of fun!

What an awesome debut at Coasters Sports Pub we had Thursday night!! What a venue huh? It was made to host trivia wouldn't you agree?
Special thanks to all the loyal Biggies that made the trip and huge thanks to the management and crew that made me and all of you feel so welcome. Thanks to Keith, George, Dominic, and our smarty bartender Crystal! I am looking forward to a long lasting relationship with Coasters! You guys are awesome! Plus, I think I found a new way to break ties. For those who were there, you know what I'm talking about but for those who couldn't make it, you'll have to come next week to see what I mean. Trust me, it'll be fun!!!
This Monday begins a new Big Trivia Show chapter as well. We officially say hello to Copper Rocket in Winter Park for some Happy Hour Trivia. The show begins at 5:30 and goes until 7. Come on down and check out the Copper Rocket. They have done alot of refurbishing and it looks great!! Should be alot of fun!

Business is about to pick up round here
Hello Biggies,
First, I want to thank each and every darn one of you who came to the inagural show at Paddy Murphy's in Baldwin Park. At the risk of jinxing myself, I have a really good feeling about that venue! I think I may have found a nice long-term home. I will say, it helps that they are not a franchise and therefore have vision......what? too harsh?
Anyway, congrats to our first Paddy Murphy winners LITTLE BIT & THE OTHERS! They are Big Trivia converts as they have played Curtis' show numerous times and been succesful! Welcome aboard Little Bit and the Others. May your run as a Biggie be as long as your run as an Earthling (or whatever he calls his teams:)
Thanks also to Paddy Cakes, Mac Babes, Second Hand Smoke and Tispsy McStagger and his Boozebag Jamboree for making our first night special! Here's to the future!!
This week will be even better with the addition of Coasters Sports Pub located inside Boardwalk Bowl! This show has a chance to be huge as well! What a great venue this is. It screams trivia!! You will see what I mean when you join me for the show this Thursday at 9pm!!! Come one....screw it...COME ALL!!! Let's show the owners that they made the wise choice as they will now be the Thursday home of the Big Trivia Show. As for our former Thursday home.....eh....nah. Before I give you the Phraze that Payz, let me tell you what happened to me this weekend! I had my house sprayed for bugs and my bug guy noticed something peculiar in the back yard. It was brown, oddly shaped, and full of berries....Give up????
IT WAS BEAR POOP!!!!! That's right, an actual Bear said hello to me and left his mark by dropping a berry filled duece right by my daughter's swing set. Living in Apopka does have its occurences and this is by far a first for me!!

Yes, minor setbacks were suffered by Bennigans and Smokey Bones but where one (or two) doors closes.......
THREE DOORS OPEN!!!!!!
That's right! The BIG Trivia Show will have three new venues to choose from starting TONIGHT!!
I am pleased and honored to announce Paddy Murphy's in Baldwin Park will be the new Tuesday night home of the BIG Trivia Show. The show kicks off at 8pm. Paddy Murphy's is located on New Broad St overlooking beautiful Lake Baldwin! I am so excited about bringing trivia to Baldwin and am even more excited to have you...my friends...come and join me for the kickoff show tonight! Hope you can make it!
Bennigans loss becomes Boardwalk Bowl's gain!! That's right! Starting Thursday July 3rd at 9pm, you will be able to catch the BIG Trivia Show at Coasters Sports Pub right inside Boardwalk Bowl at 10747 E. Coloniel Dr. I am really hoping to see alot of my Bennigan's Biggies at this show. I really want to thank Boardwalk Bowl for the opportunity to bring Earth Trivia aboard. Lets make them happy they did it!
Now for the third exciting bit of news.....BIG HAPPY HOUR TRIVIA COMES TO COPPER ROCKET IN MAITLAND!!
Now, the start date has not been determined just yet. I am thinking it will be the first week in July, but all else has been confirmed!!
Come celebrate Happy hour with me everyday (except Wednesday) at The Copper Rocket Pub in Maitland!! The show will be from 5:30-7:30 and there will be drink specials a plenty!!
