Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Another year has (almost) come and gone. This is the time of year that we usually reflect on the year that was and focus on the new year to come. No, I’m not going to do that here as I will leave that for the news shows. We each lived this year differently and uniquely and therefore, who am I to speak for every individual person? You know what you did!!
Now, as far as the Big Trivia Show is concerned, this has truly been a great year! It was not void of adversity at times, but all came out just fine. I do want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of the five Big Trivia Show venues for their continued support as we move into 2009 bigger and better than ever! Here they are...

Now, I’m not one for picking one BTS Team of the Year as that would also be silly in my view. Each show is unique and different and that’s the way I like it! However, I will choose one team per venue that, in my view, showed exemplary dedication, as well as, gamesmanship throughout the year. Some will feel slighted but that is unavoidable. For this, I am sorry.
So, without further rambling, here are the 2008 BTS Teams of the Year.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Well, here it is, Christmas week already! I guess the only question I have for you this week is...How's the shopping going? Is it..
A) Frustrating
B) Flustering
C) Annoying
Now, I realize in a perfect world, the holidays are a time to reflect and relax with the ones you love. However, this is not a perfect world now is it? Its rush, rush, rush! Gotta put up the tree, the lights, gotta send out the cards and the dreaded Christmas letter!! AHHH! It can be maddening.
As I have gotten older, I like to think I have grown wiser as well. So, with that said, I refuse to let this time of year stress me out! I have made a conserted effort to focus on making this time of year special for my daughter. She is only 5 and does not need to see Mommy and Daddy flipping out over anything. After all, Santa is coming and that means Daddy has to make sure the cookies are made for Sir Claus, the carrots are out for the reindeer, the driveway is cleared so santa can park, and of course, I have to remember to keep the front door unlocked so Santa can break into my house and hook us up! Now if that's not what it's all about, I don't know what is!
Normally, it would be time for our BTS Team of the Week, however, its the holidays and it wouldn't be right to award it to just one team now would it?
Therefore.....Congrats to our BTS Team of the Week..Santa and His Reindeer!

(Kiddie) Party Animal!
Hello New Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
Sorry this entry is a late one but man...what a weekend! I am truly the Kid Party King!! I'm sure I'm not alone as I know many of you have or had little ones so you know what the World Kid Party Tour is all about! It started Saturday morning at CVS as the search for the perfect gift under $10. Of course, this requires the help of your own child as you ask the question...
"What does little Susie or Johnny like?" This is usually followed by "What do you mean you don't know" or "Daddy thinks he might get this for you for Christmas, so lets get Susie or Johnny a nice container of Hanna Montana Rubber Bands". Translation....Daddy don't know crap about Susie or Johnny and sure as He#@ ain't spending $25 on a talking Dora the Explorer doll for them. No offense, but that's what their daddy is for.
Next, it was party time with a stop at IPEX in Altamonte Springs for some cake and awkward talk with people you don't know. Thank God my wife was there with me to soften the blow. Women truly have an impressive ability to BS with another mom and dad for as long as it takes. This is a skill I am and will always be impressed with, and one I do not posess.
Sunday, it was our turn to throw a bash for my own little princess and AT LEAST 30 OTHER CRUMB SNATCHERS AND THEIR FOLKS! Man, some celebrity weddings don't have this large of a guest list! So, my wife and I provided the pizza, cake, and the good folks at Turning Pointe Dance Studio provided the venue for this legendary event. I figured 10 large pizzas would be enough for kids and parents . I was JUST right. Not a crumb to spare. My wife figured a large Carvel Ice Cream cake would be enough for this A-List affair. It was JUST enough as well. We were tapped out of cash and ready to end this thing after an hour or so. Two hours later, the party was still rocking! Man, maybe I should be a party planner!! Who knew a mixture of Dominos, Carvel, and Tropical Capri Sun would keep such an audience!! A small price to pay for our daughters happiness. Don't be fooled however, she made out like a bandit! I have never seen so many $10 toys! Hanna this, Polly Pocket that. CVS represented HUGE!! Some were even a couple of notches above your Child Party Default Gift. To my daughters credit, we set some gifts aside to donate to Toys for Tots. We are trying to instill in her just how lucky we are, etc and she is willing to sacrifice some of her good fortune to those who have no fortune at all. For this, I am truly impressed with her unselfishness, unspeakably proud, and makes all of this worth the effort!
Happy Birthday Elaina!! You truly humble your daddy and make my life complete.
As for next year, we will be having a small gathering. How's Taco Bell sound??
Now its time for our BTS Team of the Week. This week's decision was not a hard one to make. This team was been running roughshot over the competition at Gators Dockside lately. So much so, even their team name reaks of success. It kinda sums it all up.
