Hello Biggies and Loyal Players of the Big Trivia Show!
First and foremost, I hope all of you had a great Valentine's Weekend!! My wife and I decided to lay low and have a nice dinner at home cooked, of course, by me!! What a romantic I am huh?With that said, I will say it does not take much to burn Chef Boy-ar-dee pasta in a can. Gotta keep your eye on it! Just a word to the wise.
We had another economic stimulus package passed this week by Congress as President Obama takes a crack at trying to right the ship and add more billions to the Federal Deficit. I wish him well in this endeavor, but i'm not holding my breath. Even if this package works towards economic imporvement, it might be years before we feel its effects. Lets hope this is the last one they HAVE to pass.
Thoughts and prayers to the victims of the Continental Airlines crash in Buffalo. Just when the airline industry was seemingly riding high off of Sully and the miracle on the Hudson, this happens. This time, it sounds like this pilot had no chance to save this flight. Very sad indeed. With that said, I still feel flying is still safer than taking 1-4 at ANY hour of the day.
We had an admission of guilt, an abbreviated Daytona 500 and an NBA All-Star Weekend that I wish was abbreviated. It just goes on way too long In my opinion. As a matter of fact, the game is on right now and I could care less. By the way, I love the NBA...I just can't stand all star games in ANY sport. As for ARod, stop breaking your arm patting yourself on the back for admitting you cheated for at least a 3 year span. You only confirmed what was suspected. Its too bad though, we hoped you were different.
As for the world of trivia, things are still humming right along wouldn't you say? I honestly feel right now, we have the best nightly venues that the Big Trivia Show has ever had and I appreciate the support our current BTS venues have given us! Trust me, it matters!
Let's get right to our BTS Team of the Week. This week's winner comes from our newest venue, Liam Fitzpatricks. As you know, in selecting a team for this award, winning is not the only thing that matters. Gamesmanship and especially loyality go along way as well. There are alot of loyal and dedicated BTS teams, and this team is no different. They were the 2008 Rivals Team of the Year but, unfortunately lost their regular Monday night trivia home when the forementioned bar formally known as Rivals in Oviedo closed their doors for good. Despite that, this team has made the road trip to Lake Mary and Liam's each of the first two week's and have not missed a beat as they have won both week's in very impressive fashion.
Therefore, Congrats to this week's BTS Team of the Week.....
